Host your 2026 meeting in the city that celebrates America’s 250th like no other.

These iconic venues bring the nation’s past to life, creating inspiring backdrops for today’s events. Whether you’re dining beside America’s founding documents at the National Archives or walking in the footsteps of Martin Luther King Jr. at the Willard, your event in DC is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

01

The National Press Club

A professional conference session titled "Private Perspectives" with two speakers engaged in discussion on stage, surrounded by an attentive audience in a dimly lit venue.

The halls of the National Press Club are lined with photos of history makers who have shared their ideas with the world at this storied venue. Be inspired by those who came before and host a grand event in the 4,500-square-foot ballroom - a treasure that exudes elegance with 19-foot-high wood ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating an inviting atmosphere. For more intimate gatherings, choose one of the wood-paneled conference rooms, or take advantage of the full broadcast studio for interviews or live streaming.

The National Archives

To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, gather in its home at the National Archives’ Rotunda Galleries. Dine or mingle among the founding documents and the newly displayed 19th Amendment and the Emancipation Proclamation. In 2025, the museum concluded its first major renovation of the Public Vaults in 20 years, unveiling new exhibition galleries with artifacts, films and documents, including George Washington’s original copy of the Constitution.

03

Capital Turnaround

This space at the intersection of Capitol Hill and the Capitol Riverfront used to serve as the last stop on the Red Line for repairing and rerouting streetcars. Now, a century later, the historic car barn has been turned into a venue with a 900-seat theatre, main hall and gathering space. Capital Turnaround has a perfect mix of state-of-the-art technology and rustic charm, perfect for any event.

04

The Mayflower Hotel

Meet in the hotel that has celebrated numerous presidential inaugurations and inspired leaders to draft history-changing documents during their stay. Following its 100th anniversary in 2025, the Mayflower’s 27 flexible event spaces - accommodating up to 800 attendees - will shine even brighter during America’s 250th celebration. From the opulent Grand Ballroom with its gilded balconies to the light-filled Palm Court adorned with a domed skylight and hand-painted details, every space reflects a century of Washington elegance and influence.

05

The DC History Center

Steps from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the DC History Center is a hidden gem in the stunning Carnegie Library. Host an intimate meeting in the South Gallery, take over the atrium for a cocktail hour or network among the galleries. Timelines and artifacts delve into DC’s history, and attendees can learn how the District’s past influences the country’s history.

06

The Willard Intercontinental Washington, DC

Three hundred and thirty-five guest rooms and suites were renovated to pay tribute to American historic figures and pioneers, many of whom were guests at the Willard. Steeped in history, the elegant ballrooms and conference rooms blend classic Beaux-Arts detailing with modern enhancements, featuring restored crown moldings, rich wood paneling and seamlessly integrated technology.

07

National Air and Space Museum

Aero Hangar from Enola Gay to North Eric Long - National Air and Space Museum

No better place to be inspired than the revitalized Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall in the National Air and Space Museum. Listen to a lecture under icons of the air like John Glenn’s Mercury capsule Friendship 7 and the Gemini IV, where Ed White conducted America’s first spacewalk. Beginning in 2026, all museum galleries will be open to visitors for the first time in eight years after a 20-gallery renovation.
